When I was training for Cycle Oregon in 1999 I was riding a Trek 970 mountain bike. At the time I did not have a real road bike. I modified the Trek changing the chain rings to larger size and replace the rear sprocket with smaller cogs. When I added slicks to the 26 inch rims I had what I called a Oregon road biek that I commuted to work on quite often.

I rode three back to back centuries (100 miles) on this bike during a week of Cycle Oregon. It was during my ride across the dry lakes of easter Oregon that I purchased my first set of aero bars. the saved my a lot of effort during the long rides against afternoon head winds.

CentOS 5.5 woks on my newly installed hardware. I thought I was going to have to send some stuff back, or buy a new motherboard. I ran this server for 2 days without a UPS and my disk array crashed. Not saying that is what caused it, but it is back on a UPS now.
